Hello, I'm wondering what you guys dose to get the right levels in top off water. Do you just use fresh rodi water and let the LR/aragonite sand buffer it out? Or would it cause unsafe changes in levels? Thanks!!

Without question, RO/DI water. Evaporation is pure water, so replace it with pure water. If you use tap water (or any waters with impurities), they will continue to "concentrate" in your tank and eventually cause problems.

There's no need to mix it with aragonite before use. It won't hurt, but it is also barely helpful by adding a tiny amount of calcium and alkalinity.

Yes, typically only RO/DI water or equivalent but at some point in a Reeftanks maturity you may need or want to run it through a Kalk Reactor to help maintain Calcium and Alk levels.

Use RO/DI or distilled water with low measured TDS. Don't worry about buffering...your saltwater already contains plenty of buffer, which will negate any differences in pH between the small amount of pure water you are adding to the much larger volume of saltwater present in your tank.
