I made a long overdue change to my tank today by removing a huge toadstool leather (Sarcophyton sp.). It was 24" in diameter and seemed to still be growing. At the same time I removed a rock with many hundreds of "gold dust" palythoa.

So my question is: what should I be watching out for after making such a big change?

New corals to place in their old spots. :D

Just keep an eye on your parameters, but I wouldn't expect any huge changes.
