What type of acan

hi guys
Got this acan yesterday ,looked different from any Iv seen maybe even Sick I just don't know
It had only just got to my lfs the night before I think they said it's an Aussie
Anyway anyone know anything about it
Pic are not great cos there from an iPhone
I asked the shop owner if it's bleached and he said no what ya think guys

Well it doesn't look bad to me, looks healthy as far as I can tell. I've had acans take a week or two to "color up" so to speak, so it may develop deeper color in the very near future.

Regarding an actual name for any of them, I can't offer much help. In my experience, most acans do not have official names that would be recognized by anyone....maybe something the LFS calls them or a vendor that insists on picking a unique name for every coral in every new shipment. There are a few vendors that continue to propagate and frag certain "limited edition" acans, but it can be hard for me to distinguish between even the rare and very unique ones.

Feel free to correct me if anyone has different experience, but this is how it seems to me.

For instance, that last pic you posted looks similar to this CC acan, but if you don't know if it's actually from them, I would be very hesitant to use the name. Especially if it ever comes to selling or trading. Just my .02!

wow thats nice , i got the last 2 from ordering online , dont think i can say the name of the company but their in the uk ......very happy with them awsell lol

Ill keep it real with you, it looks like a maxima. The polyps dont look that big but Chances are its not, but anyways it looks sweet! Its a little colorless, so just shade it a little bit and feed it till the color comes back

brown one looks....well brown lol but under the blues it shows some nice bright green
also got another 3 but just took the worst pic know to mankind with the lights off , ill take em tomorrow and post them up

Just a update on my little sick acan
Starting to go a real nice green maybe abit of pink in there aswell
Bad pics taken with a phone but all seems to be going well
Also got another sick looking acan frag looks like it was bleached but she's doing well feeding
Pic of the pink one is the new one got some sand on it that my fish just flicked on it but I'll blown that off tonight
