Do not dose Phos but feed more, change water less to increase. This stuff will Not turn into coraline

I had something similar, hard and wouldn’t brush off. It occurred about 4 weeks after the tank was set up. About a month later it was gone and it has been 17 months. I wouldn’t worry about it, just let it run its course. Your rocks will never be white again.

Tuxedo urchin should work but in my experience they eat more of hair algae instead of algae encrusted on rocks.

In the first hour, Tuxedo Urchin was on the top of the conch, and here is the result as a before & after. My conches were all covered with algae.
