What type of algae is this?

Found this in my filter is it harmful it was only growing on the over flow filter

Kind of looks like Chaetomorpha, but it might be easier to identify if you provided a picture in a baggy of water so we can see it unfolded.

That’s what we thought well wish my dad didn’t go gun ho and throw it out bc chaeto is super good
