What type of algea?

This tanks been running for about 4 months, I used live sand and life rock from carribsea.

I do about 30-40% water change weekly, with 2 clowns, a valentini, diamond goby, emerald, shrimp and various snails. I’m running 4-5 hours of all light and 3-4 hours of blue light daily. I try to limit feeding the best I can but I’m pretty sure you can always feed less.

Basically I’m asking if this rock looks alright from an algea standpoint at this stage of the game? The red algea concerns me a bit. Is any of this coralline?

That's only the beginning. Everything looks good. Find some coraline on a snail shell or a live rocks and scratch it off in front of your powerhead. It'll help to seed the tank.

Will that help spread the coraline even if there is some in the tank?

Yup. Where ever the spores land a colony eventually forms. Will help it spread faster.

Mine showed up on the glass and powerheads as soon as it did on the rocks.
