Hey guys! I’m somewhat new to the saltwater tank world. It’s so addicting that I’m obsessed now. Started with a 13.5 evo and just bought a 40 Red Sea max. I’m sure I’ll just keep going up.
I bought a clownfish yesterday to try to pair with my mocha ocellaris (who’s been alone for a few months, gotten large and I assume female now).
I was told this new clown was a frostbite but also looks similar to a Wyoming white. What do you guys think?!
He’s been submitting to her all morning. Fingers crossed they’ll eventually become a breeding pair.
Ignore my cloudy water, I’d just finished moving a couple rocks.

This is the description of the frostbite clownfish which was originally released by Sustainable Aquatics:

FISH IS AN ASTONISHING PRODUCT OF THE CROSSING OF TWO DIFFERENT MUTATIONS, THE “WHITE” DESIGNER AND THE “SNOW” DESIGNER. COMBINING THESE PRODUCED A DRAMATIC AND UNEXPECTED RESULT! WITH A MOSTLY WHITE BODY, THE FROSTBITE IS SIMILAR IN APPEARANCE TO THE WYOMING WHITE, BUT HAS A SERIES OF SPOTS ON ITS BODY. THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS OF THE FROSTBITE: “CHILLED”, WITH LESS SPOTS, AND “FROZEN”, WITH MORE SPOTS. THESE CLOWNFISH HAVE AN IMPRESSIVE APPEARANCE AND WILL ADD THE “WOW” FACTOR TO ANY AQUARIUM FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR CUSTOMERS.

AS THE FISH MATURES, THESE SPOTS GENERALLY TURN BLACK. THE FROSTBITE CLOWN ALSO HAS A CHARACTERISTIC BLACK OUTLINE ON THE PREOPERCULUM AND OPERCULAR GILL COVERING AND A SERRATED-LOOKING TRANSITION FROM THE WHITE BODY TO THE BLACK AND ORANGE COLORATION ON THE FINS.

Based on that description, I dont see yours with any black spotting on the body or serrated transitions on the fins. I would be almost sure that your's is a Wyoming White then.
