What type of fish should I add next?

First a little history, my Reefer 250 is only 2 months old and I had one setback. I did a quick start using Smart Start Complete live bacteria and my water tested normal after only 2 weeks so I purchased a azure damsel and a blue-green chromis at that time. Two weeks later I had an ammonia spike and lost both of them.

Fast forward to last Friday, after 2 water changes since that incident my LFS told me I should really be ok and I added 2 ORA Gladiator clowns who were shipped as paired and they seem to be thriving and are constantly swimming together.

Now the question is what type of fish can I safely add now and how quickly do I do this? I would like non aggressive fish and also ones that are swimmers and not stationary like a Bengai Cardinal.

Make sure your QT the fish. I would look at gobies or firefish

I wish I had that option but it was a task getting my wife to even agree to having one tank. When I mentioned a second tank that I intended to use as a QT she immediately gave me a thumbs down.

IMO if you can’t QT, I would not get any new fish until you can QT.
It is too big of a risk.

As mentioned I cannot add another tank and I have read many posts from people that have purchased aquacultured fish from reputable sources.

I understand. At this time, I would stay away from buying fish.
If you do,
Reach out to @Humblefish and he can get you quarantined fish. They are a bit more expensive, but worth it!
