What type of green algae is this?

So I have this algae only on the top of my tank where I have the inlet from my return pump. It occasionally spreads to another powerhead up at the top as well. Was wondering what it was and what the best treatment was.

Bryopsis, easily identifiable by the "fern" like offshoots from each main branch.

Best treated by Fluconazole such as Reef Flux or similar.

How would I go about treating it? Is it common to just have it in one place and not spread? I consider myself lucky I suppose to just have it on the top pvc. I assume I could take that off, soak it in something scrub it and put it back on?

If it's just in one spot, you can try to remove the rock, hit the algae with some peroxide and scrub it off. I would rinse it in a bucket of tank water before putting it back in the display.

You may get lucky and eradicate it that way.

I had it in one spot for a while until I foolishly tried to manually remove it in the tank, it spread like wildfire after that.

Fluconazole you treat the whole tank with the recommended dose and leave it in for 14 days.
