What type of hammer is this

Scientific name is a Euphyllia ancora, however known as a branching hammer. No special fancy name hence why they are still reasonably priced and not overly priced due to a fancy name.

Yes that looks right. Thank you. When do you think it will come out more? I am not worried because I have only had it for a couple hours I’m just wondering? Last question I know hammers torches and frog spawn all strong or burn other coral but do they burn themselves or any of the other toes I listed? Was just wondering because I was considering one of those and my tank doesn’t have tons of room for all of them. Really appreciate the help.

Give it a few days to open up. Also Hammers get along with other hammers and frogspawn. Torches will get along with other torches but will sting everything else. View the picture I attached of my tank to see many different hammers and frogspawn living close to one another and the torches are separated from them.

Those are beautiful. Thank you. And just out of curiosity hire much do don’t of those cost? And how much would mine cost? I’m a curious new reefer sorry.

The one you have is common so probably 20 to 40 dollars. Rare hammers can go for 200 to 500. Rare torches up to $1000 or more

Yeah give it a couple days to adjust and it will extend its polyps. As mentioned above keep them away from torches. You can put multiple hammers together. Make sure its in low to medium flow as well they dont like lots of flow.
