Ok wait I was just thinking over the conversation I had with the LFS owner. I asked about the branching coralline algae. He looked confused. When I showed him he said o that’s ogo algae but it has coralline. Is it possible if this was ogo algae that coralline has grown over?

I have it in the macro tank that just has 6500k white light if it is coralline will this make the coralline bleach? Should I move it to the display?

i would leave try to shade until positive id

The reef cleaners site says it does well in brightly lit aquariums but doesn’t say what color spectrum.

I think I figured out what macro I have. Purple thicket

So my f.lux is on super bright right now and I cannot distinguish any daytime colors. BUT from what I've been reading, take a look at this:

I think it’s more in the family of a coralline algae. I also think it has a different red macroalgae growing on the inside of the bunch where it was protected from herbivores.

I have never seen coralline grow on my red macros. It does grow on some of my greens that have more of a calcium base like mermaids fan.
