What type of Nudibranch is this?

Looks like a Pink Dorid Nudibranch (Chromodoris bullocki)

Hypselodoris bullockii or Hypselodoris apolegmaa

They can be labeled as reef safe but I read they have a specific diet of sponge. An article in advanced aquarist is a good read.

+1 on Bulloki and are great algae eaters.
They are also known to eat sponge and need a constant supply of both for survival

I just happen to see one yesterday, I thought about buying it $16 but didn't know enough about them. this other they called a nudi-branch .....yuck!!!!

Thanks everyone, looked up more info, I can't be that lucky that it would like hair algae, lol, got some patches in my 32. Got this for free. I may put it in my 65. Time to put the MP10 covers back on...

I'd give that article a read. I believe it said they are mislabeled as eating algae but really have a specific sponge diet which is why they don't last very long. I've never kept one due to reading that.

Just read that one, sheesh.... Came in for free. Have not introduced it to a tank, but been acclimating it. That article notes that not only do they only eat sponges, but could only be a specific type of sponge.

I don't have anyone to give him to that would have a better chance of making it...
