I noticed this worm for the 1st time tonight in my reef tank? Is this worm harmful to my reef tank, corals or fish? What is the name of this worm, it looks like a little centipede? I put a RED circle around the worm...

If it is white or grey bristleworm good, red fireworm bad, from my experience

It's grey! good to know! I will look up more information on the bristleworm
.

Hi agree, but when in doubt take it out

Common bristleworm, harmless and many use them as a part of their CUC, but they can multiply quickly if you're over feeding, so keep numbers in check.

very good detrivores, creepy looking, if you don't like them or have alot, a yellow coral banded shrimp will have a field day. Those worms are good guys though.

i use them in my seahorse tank as cln up

Just to clarify, red bristleworms are not by default fireworms. Just another color.
That is true, but my experience has been that the prettier reddish ones have been aggressive, appeared to be hunting after lights out. I discovered it after it ate my 2 day new to me clam. I made that plastic bottle trap and caught it that night. It was aboit 5 inches long and healthy. Caught good ones with it, but that monster is gone.

Bristleworms creep me out a bit. I dont like centipedes in my basement nor do I like them in my aquarium. But that's merely aesthetically speaking. We have these beautifully procured waterscapes with colorful and unique creatures. Then you see this big gross worm diving in and out of your rocks.
