What type of snail is this?

My lfs sold me this snail as a turban snail (red footed algae eater). After getting home with further evaluation I don’t believe this is a turban snail. The snail appears to be a bright pink with an elongated spiral shell that looks more like a conch shell. What kind of snail is this?

That doesn't look like any algae eater I'm familiar with. I bet it eats other stuff, like stuff you'd rather like to keep in the tank. It could be a horse conch if so then I'd advise removal pdq.

Looks like it. They make great sump critters, as will eat any left over food that goes down the overflow.

It does not appear to burrow. Seems to be a slow moving snail. Much slower than the rest of my critters.

I was suggested it could be a tulip snail. Snail doesn’t appear to burrow and is slow moving. Seems to be slower than the rest of my critters. Doesn’t appear to be bothering any of the community members. I have been making sure to supply carnivores frozen foods to support skunk cleaner shrimp and just for the savages of the tank. My yellow tang absolutely loves it. Will have to continue to keep my eyes on em. Thanks everyone for your input.

+1 I am not an expert with Atlantic snails, though the shell shape and foot coloration immediately reminded me of a horse conch.

I would personally remove the snail, even if it was well fed.

P.S. tulip snails (which seem to have smoother shells than the snail pictured above) are also predatory snails and are consumed by horse conchs.
