Looks more like diatoms to me.
Or some silicate is getting past the DI. Pretty common actually. So still just battling the ugly stages of a new tank?
Slimey I just rubbed some and it came right off glass. When I scrape it comes off in sheetsIf it’s on the glass def give some a feel. There a difference between cyano slimey and stuff that’ll encrust.
Gotcha , could be just an odd slime alge. Have you changed foods or dosed and new stuff like bacteria or aminos?Slimey I just rubbed some and it came right off glass. When I scrape it comes off in sheets
No changes have been dosing nopox for about 4-6 weeks since I had high nitrates . I just ordered some easy sps and just to make things right before they get hereGotcha , could be just an odd slime alge. Have you changed foods or dosed and new stuff like bacteria or aminos?
IMO There are bacterial and chemical signals as well as subtle mineral components that are missing in a lot of new tanks. Thanks for the help Salty. So if they fail what do you think it could be?
Thanks, Yeah i bought a frag pack from someone on hereIMO There are bacterial and chemical signals as well as subtle mineral components that are missing in a lot of new tanks.
That’s were the old addage , “tank is too young” comes from.
If they fail , try later. I’ve had dozens of these and anemones do this.
I always reccomend cheap prettt starter/tester frags.
