what was in my chaeto algae?

I just cleaned out some new chaeto algae I got and I found these green egg like things in it.

Okay, I was able to update the original post with an image. I tried googling, but was unable to match it up with anything. Thank you for your insight.

That looks like "bubble algae", AKA Valonia. Generally considered a pest - toss it out, and try to never pop a bubble of it in the tank - that supposedly helps it spread.

Those guys can get to a decent size, and are among the largest single-celled organisms on the planet.

Foxface and rabbitfish often eat them, and my purple tang adores them.
