Got this millie like 5 days ago and it was super deathly this morning. Came home from work today and its bone white. What happened nothing stung it.

Phos .1
Nitrate 10ish

I've been getting my phosphates down for like the past 2 weeks was at 2.5 before I got a test kit and added media.

But that was before I got this guy my all has been at 8.5 or so since he's been in the tank. I think I put in to much kalk water but my all only went up to 8.8 as of today. Those params where taken 2 days ago

With the algae and cyano I see in those pictures, I think your PO4 and Nitrate may be higher than what you're getting for test results. Also, did you acclimate it to your lights, or did you just glue it to the rock? Could just be the pics, but those corals all look really bleached. Do you know what your PAR is? What light are you using?

Id try and get the params from today if possible. It is crazy how fast that bleached out though, sorry that happened.

That's my back wall algae i purposely let grow and my cyano has gone way down since I started the media. I just got the gen 5 radion like 3 weeks ago after using black boxes for 4 years. I think .10 phosphate is probably pretty accurate cause that's still very high. This tank is about a year and a half old

I dont think my corals are bleached out. The green acro up top and the birds nest have been struggling since before I got them

I did just glue it to a rock but I figured it would be ok because it came from a pretty high spot in another's tank

i suspect a flow problem because of how many sps and lps are right next to each other.

the acros specifically need way more flow than what i would give a frag of hammer coral or a trachy

Could low flow bleach it out that fast though?

I thought I was getting enough the polyps moved around and it didnt get things settling on it at all

The sps coral do look very browned out and the rest do not appear as vibrant as I would expect. It could just be picture quality and lighting but with parameters high enough for that much algae I would say this is a water quality issue. Thing to remember is that the test kits are giving you available nutrients but your system can be much higher because of how much is being used by the algae. I would say that if you cleaned the tank you would see your actual nitrate and phosphates are very high. My nitrates are at 5 and my phosphates at .08
You can see the difference in coral color drastically at lower nutrient levels.
Your coral may be surviving but I wouldn't say thriving. RTN occurs quickly because of this with new peices.

doesnt look like its bleached as much as the coral has lost all tissue and is fully dead, yeah flow can kill acros very fast

The .10 phosphate reading is the flee floating phosphate still available after the massive algae in the back wall has consumed it , meaning ye phosphate / nitrate levels are probly actually very high and you mention phosphate was once higher , rapid change in phosphate could make things mad

Ok so more flow to my acros and more water changes? I've been doing weekly 5 gals and trying to keep my skimmer clean this is only a 32 gal
