If your looking to just get rid of the algae and not fix the reason you have it right now just buy a foxface/rabbit fish and it will eat anything algae.

I agree. My one spot foxface ate anything (except cyano). Even big clumps of the pest caulerpa racemosa that I moved into the tank from a refugium to feed him stood no chance.

Id still eliminate it as an unknown variable in my troubleshooting the source and continue treating the symptoms.

Get a larger blue knuckle hermit crab for the green stuff

I have a one spot rabbit fish also.. he does an amazing job.. he will start eating the nori before I even get it in the veggie clip..

Yeah I used distilled in a reef fine for a couple years with no problems. I do use Rodi now.
