Hello R2R , I just recently saw this dark looking worm around the bottom of my sand bed. I’m curious as if this is a ok wormy or should I trap and remove his wiggly butt. I notice a few small ones in some holes in my live rocks but maybe 1/4 inch or so, this is by far the biggest I’ve seen.

* My main concern is I havesome Berghia Nubibranches coming in and I don’t want these worms to eat these expensive slugs

thanks for your help
Pics are from iPhone so best I could get

+1 on bristleworm. Not welcomed in any of my tanks but reef safe

Thanks for the help , as long as he’s reef safe , I got some expensive corals and don’t need him messaging them up , what about the berghia slugs I got coming , bristle worms won’t eat those ?

If I may ask why won’t you have one in your tank ? I'm thinking of trapping him with bait at night and maybe pulling him out just for precautionary measures

I'm fairly sure the bristle worms will eat the Berghias eggs, but shouldn't bother the actual nudis.

Since you already have more than one, chances are that trapping won't wipe them out. There are several wrasses that will keep the population down, but they'll most likely decimate the nudis too. Not sure how the the bristle worms will affect the nudis.
