i have a 36 bowfront for 1 year, softies mostly, 30 lbs live rock, stable Params. Added fish and coral slowly as I learned my hobby tank 1 year old. I have a clownfish pair, aggressive female to which I added a purple dottyback. The coexist well, each protective of their space. I would love to add a 4th fish or pair if that would make a difference in them not getting harassed so easily, tank shot below, any suggestions?

Flame Hawkfish perches and moves around all the surfaces of the tank, including tank corners and equipment. Lots of personality and looks good. It’s a pretty tuff fish that doesn’t take any crap but also doesn’t give it. Just my experience.

Pair of wheelers gobies with a candy striped pistol.

Super cool to watch, good personality

Will stay on the sand bed away from the clowns.

Regularly available on DD.

How is the candy striped pistol with other fish? I had a coral banded and he was too aggressive. Hung out upside down in one of the arches and always tried to nip at the fish. He had to go....

I’m not familiar with this fish, thanks for the recommendation, I’ll do some research!

They stay small, 1 1/2” max. They will stay in their burrow with the gobies.

A coral banded is about the worst shrimp you can put in a reef as they are aggressive. Especially towards small or sick fish, or other shrimp.

Just looked over at the tank and look who’s watching me. Not a great pic because the lights are almost off, but he’s out pod hunting and giving me the eyeball.

They are ALWAYS giving you the eyeball!

Its like the classic poster of “Uncle Sam”. No matter what angle you look at that poster, he’s always lookin you right in the eye! Just like a flame hawk.
