Clam just up and died. Has anyone seen this before? I got it at aquashella a few months back in Orlando no issues until this morning. I did a water change yesterday of about 30%. But I've done that several times already since they have been in there.

How many clams do you have?
Was it dead in the shell or was the shell empty (cleaned out/ eaten?)

Ive seen this before. My repeated observation on many kinds of reef life is that the most beautiful specimen is the first to die. The more fond of it the more likely it will die quickly.

Aiptasia, vermitid snails and bubble algae are all found at the other end of survivorship and fondness and they are bulletproof.

Far from a clam expert here (don't own one) but if I was you I would send off an icp in case your salt contains trace heavy metals. If I just did a water change and had something die right after I would suspect source water or salt mix.

What clam? Maxima? Derasa? Crocea? If there’s no new shell growth, then most likely it slowly starved to death. Pyramid snails? There’s a long list of culprits, so more info about your tank will help.

Apologies for late response but maxima clam. Yes there has been new growth. 2 clowns, 1 blenny, 5 turbo snails, 1 urchin, 2 emerald crabs. Several frags. All of which have been in together for months. Usually do a 30%(10 gallons) water change biweekly. Basic 30 gallon biocube.
