what would produce more bio load?

- three 1" - 1.5" flasher wrasses OR
- one 4" tang?

lemme know what your thought are.

Thanks.

Scientifically, I have no idea.....but watching the poop flying out of some of my fishes.....would have to vote Tang. My Blue Eyed Kole is like a b-52 bomber.

I was thinking the same thing. I was either going to pick up a trio of Carpenter's Flasher wrasses or a sub adult Chevron tang. hmmmmm.....

Might be a toss up depending on what you feed your fish. Wrasses tend to be eat more meaty foods and that makes more nutrient rich poo. Hmmm....interesting question.

I currently feed Brine, PE Mysis, Spectrum pellets, and Formula Flakes. I won't be changing my feeding habits. it would be 1 cube of each frozen and random pellets & flakes (small amounts) when I feel like it. most of the time I do their main feeding, then 2-3x random feeding. dunno if that made sense. LoL

One thing to keep in mind with the wrasses is that they may burrow in the sand, which will in turn stir up the detritus in your sandbed and lead to a bigger impact on water quality.

F&F wrasses don't burrow in the sand. although I really like the leopard wrasses, I don't think I'll ever own one coz of their burrowing.

I stand corrected... didn't read the "flasher" before wrasses

I think it would be close, BUT with the tang you get a nuisance algae eater. :)

TANG. hands down some of the best pooping machines around. my three can sometime compete with the dog on their "Fertilizer Deposits"

tang, but atleast tangs think green and recycle and promote their own food growth lol
