You bought an expensive new chalice frag- let's say $300- and as you were gluing it, it fell off the rock and into a cave you can see but cannot reach? Tank is well established and moving live rock around is risky. Do you watch the frag wither in the shade or do you take the rocks apart to get it. This has happened to me before. I watched my pink ******* die a slow death. Risk v. Reward. What would you do? Share your horror tales

Tweezers? Some other clever utensil? I would hate to take the rocks apart and would fear whatever other damage might happen from trying to do that. Good luck.

I would do what I had to do, take my time so nothing else was harmed and have few beers. Try to laugh haha.

I would bend a coat hanger or something equally bendable to get in that cave. Let MacGyver be your muse.

ooooh maybe you could take some wire clippers (or something that would work) and chip the cave opening bigger to get it out...just a thought!

Tried everything from pasta scooper to wire hanger to reaching into the tank submerged to below my chest. Might want to add my tank is a 440 cube and is 36 deep. Huge boulders to pull out. We need to start a thread on best glues and curing techniques.
