I had this branching gsp for over a month when today, I noticed these growing on the skin. I haven't introduced anything and this is the first location I have seen them. I didn't realize they could hibernate so long. I know they weren't there initially as it took a week for this to even open and I watched it closely.

Would you cut the one branch off? I am afraid they are elsewhere on the frag and just haven't seen it yet. I have snails, hermits, fish, anemone, and xenia.

Thanks

Yes. I could do that. I did a very strong dip when I received it as it was covered in bristleworms. It took a week to open up after that dip. Oddly enough, I have another piece of this in another tank with no issues. I wasn't sure if a dip would kill the hydroids.
