I'm trying to figure out when to introduce my new Powder Blue Tang to the Main Tank, Trying to weigh the odds...
My Tank has been up for 2 Years, I have 14 Fish. Only 3 of the fish have had any sort of QT, 3 weeks of Para Guard at most.
Tank has had a fish die from a fungal/velvet/or/brook infection early in the tanks life, one other fish got it but survived.
I have never seen any Ick, but that doesn't mean anything.
Bought A Powder Blue Tang on 2/25, It's been in the 20L QT for 2+ weeks. Has been eating Sea Weed like a pig since day 1 and some formula 2 flake, putting on weight nicely. Seems happy and healthy other then wanting a bigger tank.
Did a treatment (4days) of API's General Cure (Metronidazole + Praziquantel) the first week. Have been dosing Seachem's Para Guard every day after, plus I have done 2 1hr Para Gurad Baths (1st times doing a bath on a fish).
Would you Continue to QT or not?
If you would, how much longer?
