So my 20 gallon nano reef is up and running. I have got everything running how I want except water flow. I have a seachem tidal 55 filter on it with the skimmer producing 250 gph of glow . It’s not stagnant , but I need more flow. I purchased the smallest power head I could find and it is a 660 gph. Much too much. Right ? The fish can’t swim , the sand doesn’t blow that much tho . Anyway I ordered an eflex wave maker accessory for my USA loop , that is adjustable down to 132 or 135 or something like that. In the meantime , my question is , More flow with the big power head or leave it until the new one arrives ? Thanks guys :)

If your sand bed isnt being blown around by the flow then I doubt it’s too much. I have tanks where I can’t keep the sand in place and everything is fine.
Are the fish being constantly blown around by the flow? If so that is not good for them and I wouldn’t leave the flow the way it is. I tried to see the video that you posted in the other thread you started about flow but I can’t see them.

What is in the tank that needs that much flow rate?

You said its a new build? Im assuming that means there is not much in it at this point?

The tank is different since then. I took the 660 out. I I only have the tidal making movement. It’s says 250 , but ? Who knows. The USA wave maker should be here by Monday. I could put the 660 in for a while and then take it out again periodically, but I don’t wanna keep putting my hands in the water like that. On the bright side. I have not lost one saltwater life yet I got the frags on Tuesday and they haven’t fully opened yet. They look like they want to. I just installed the new lighting and I have been attempting to program that so the lighting had not been stable yet.

I don’t know why i can’t post videos on here ?
It’s not an issue with you, it’s everyone (or at least most people). On my old Android phone I could download a video that was posted and see it but since I switched to iPhone I can’t see them at all. Most people won’t be able to see a video that gets attached. The only sure way to do it is to post it to YouTube and link it on the forum.

I’ve ordered the eflex accessory for my USA lighting system so I should be alright when that arrives. It goes from like 132 gph to 660 gph.
