If you have a small, say 16oz jar, what would you put in it? Any experiments you might be interested in and have yet done, but wanna try? :D

Run, pineapple juice and fruit punch

putting all jokes aside, take a look at pics forum for many ideas

If FW:
Guppies
Betta

SW
Clownfish
Fire fish goby
Twin spot blenny
Crabs
Asterina stars

One of them not all of them with aeration of course

A fish of any sort will foul the water in a pint jar way too quickly.

I’d say find an interesting piece of rock and throw it in there with a couple micro brittle stars, a piece of “weed coral”, and some kind of macro algae.

You could also just get a rock from an established tank and see what hitchhikers come along.

By “weed coral” I mean Xenia, gsp, blue cloves, etc.

Had an Aip jar on my desk at work. Would change water with old tank water from house once a week.

They then moved to a 2.5 gallon I have on my desk.

In a jar, yes. With just some rock, 2 small white leds and a piece of rock, the pods in the jar didn’t deplete oxygen much, but anything past a week and the aip would stay retracted. The 2.5 has a small internal power filter. It gets months old tank water lol.
