Hello,

I’m getting a 20 gallon waterbox tank that I will be growing corals in. The tank can come with AI Primes, but with a 200 dollar increase in price. Are there any good, affordable options(less than 100$) for lighting(for corals)? The dimensions are 18in x 18in x 16in.

You can get a Red Sea 50 for 240$ will work better down the road too. Or the primes that can come with it many people use they’re good lights.

I also believe a YouTube reefer “inappropriate reefer” used an Aqua knight LED from Amazon on his 20g and grew a good amount of stuff. Look him up.

I am about to pull the trigger on the same set up. And believe me u will just want to get the ai prime they are selling in the bundle. Nice light will grow anything u want put in and u won't need up urgrade I think just smart to buy it. Well that's what I am going to do

Ok from what I’m seeing, I’m going to get an expensive light. I’m going to have work out a way to get the money.

I am going to be using a Kessil a160 on mine. I use an a80 on my 16 gallon BioCube now and have been very successful. You can’t go wrong with anything but don’t go cheap. You’ll only end up upgrading real soon.

I picked up an AI Prime HD for 100 on local classifieds. it was used but in a good condition. Id rather buy higher quality used equipment then cheap new equipment, especially with lights. With AI stuff there app is solid
