So are planning on trying to do something with it after everyones suggestions?
I am planning on running a dedicated refugium on my next tank. More so for diversity of life than anything else. The more microscopic zooplankton and pod sources that are in the system the better. I am also planning to add a lot of xenia as well, for natural water filtering. Just an idea to consider. You could have a ton of space for macro algaes and other filter feeders to have a more diverse and complete system. Not to mention a place to keep frags or fish when they behave badly.
I have heard mixed reviews on it, and I would hate to have to change it out. Sounds like a pain, and a mess too.
I an going with a garf refugium kit from here: GARF.ORG - The reef aquarium place
I'm sure there a certain amount that dont make it to the DT, but there are plenty of live things that are not affected and get to the tank just fine. Plus just having the bio diversity in the refugium as part of the whole system will make the entire setup more stable.
