Anyone using or seen this lights before? price wise they seem great, I'm planning on using them as supplemental to my 6 t5 bulbs just to help with coloration.
I would get them for a fraction of the price of some reefbrites.
What you guys think?

Price is there. Why do they do 2 whites to 1 blue?

Weird.

I think it was a mistake the seller made, I was reading some of the questions and reviews and he said it was all blues no whites.

They got pretty much good reviews, but idk

I mean I got plenty of light, I just want tha pop or shimmer LEDs give. I can buy two of this for the price of a reefbrite

You should probably compare the fixtures on a cost per watt basis or some other metric so you are getting a more accurate comparison versus looking at cost. Another factor to consider is which LED chip brand is each LED unit using?

If you're adding a fixture to supplement your six T5s to get more "pop" and shimmer, I think you will need quite a bit of LED wattage to make a viewable difference. That will also depend on what T5 bulb combination you are using. The more "white" your T5 bulb setup, then the more likely you won't notice much impact from the deep blues of the LEDs. Of course, they can still provide additional par and are great for dawn / dusk type effects. I just wouldn't expect adding 27 watts of blue LEDs to make much of a noticeable impact versus 6 T5 bulbs.

Well, unfortunately, I'm not really an expert on how to compare these things. I just know it's not as easy as saying this fixture costs x and another fixture costs y. Some units use 1/2 watt LEDs, some use 3W, some use 5W, and each unit may drive and cool them differently. All these things can impact performance, output, longevity, etc...

On my 6 foot tank, I have a 6 bulb ATI fixture and 4 Kessil A360s that I run very blue (25% color). The T5s cut down the shimmer significantly, and trying to go bluer doesn't really have much of a visual impact if I even have just one coral plus bulb on as the T5 color tends to dominate visually (and coral plus isn't even that strong of a daylight bulb compared to say a 6500K, 10K, or aquablue special type bulb).

I know there are several other alternatives to reefbrite. SB reefs has an actinic blue LED bar. Orphek has an actinic LED bar that has the violet and deep blue combined. The violet addition might help give more pop?

Ideally, it would be great if you could borrow a similar actinic type LED bar from a fellow refer to try with your T5s to see what kind of impact it would make before you make a purchase.

Just throwing out some ideas!

I really appreciate the feedback thank you!!
I currently run I think 3 ATI blue+ one purple+ one pink I think and a coral+ I think. Not sure if the names are right lol.
The only reason I was asking was because I had a little led bar that I bought years ago and out of curiosity I tried it today and wow!! Everything looked so good and it was a small bar, sadly it broke when I was trying to hook it to my t5 fixture, this is the link and if I'm right it is les powerful and has a lot of less LEDs on it. So by my logic if that made it look good then the first link I send should be a bit brighter.

I suspect you have 3 blue plus, one pure actinic, one purple plus, and one coral plus bulb. The pink bulb is probably a pure actinic bulb, which may look like a dim pink to some people. Your bulb combination isn't overly white, so you will likely notice some extra pop from royal blue LED additions.

The fixture you are looking at certainly has more LED wattage than the one you broke. If you notice, though, the description of the fixture you broke mentions it uses CREE royal blue LEDs. Maybe someone who is more knowledgeable can chine in, but I've always heard that Cree makes the best royal blue LED chip. But maybe there isn't much difference? I don't truly know.

Yeah that sounds about right, my wife bought them for me so I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks!

So those fixtures are pretty good, I'm surprised actually how good they make the tank look. At 25% you can see a difference with the t5s on and when the t5s go off they look like completely different corals.
Not bad at all now it's a matter of how long they last
