I bought this group of zoanthids.palys for 35$ was just in the 1 plug for 35 2 for 60 pile and while all the plugs had 1 zoa type each this one has 4-5 types on it. 4 polyps of the yellow ones. Two of the large one in the center. 4 of the red ones and like 5 of the greenish tentacle ones

I think the golden.yellpw ones are King Midas, the red.orange one is a Bam Bam. The big one in the center looks like a white zombie as least thats what the worker said and it does look like it. The others im not sure.

What do you guys think. If that is a white zombie i think i scored on this group becauss it has two heads of it.. not to mention the others.. i think white zombies go for 60-70$ per polyp

Yep, looks like king midas and white zombie(and nirvana). Score for sure on the zombie polyps.

They don't necessarily look like the white zombies. The one in my profile is white zombies. Can't really tell from the pic does it have an electric greenish mouth? Yours looks more like salted agaves or blue agave zoa. Nevertheless very nice polyp bet it looks crazy under blues!

Lets be honest... the two look very similar. Some coral vendors use the images and names interchangably.
They're very nice polyps either way and definitely a steal at the price OP snagged them.

Very true they look similar but they are slightly different morphs which is why they both deserve different names. before I started getting into zoas I never could tell the difference between different zoa morphs. Once you start collecting you understand the small differences for instance the LSOH and rastas. They look identical if not the same but the price tag difference b/w the two is crazy different b/c of the slight difference in color/pattern. Anyways he got a steal for 35$ for 4 different strains!

Your profile pic is heavily blued out. Mine are under white lights. Ill snap a pic later under blues so we can see what they look like in that.. unfortunatly my larger one had a amphipod eating it.. So its healing in my floating container. But well see what i can get.

Sometimes thise large pods like to suddenly eat my zoas.. i have 20+ diff ones and it just happens randomly. Im glad i caught it too.. decided to turn my flash light on at night and saw a large one munching on it

yeah the pic was a couple months ago when I got it. its too far away now to get a good pic lol. large pods eating them? do you have a pic of them we may be able to help you find a predator to take care of them for you!

I have 4 wrasses and a butterfly who love em.. but the amphipods are smart and only come out at night.

I have a video ill upload to youtube of them eating my entire orange mini colony of zoas i got from ora. The jerks.

Here is snap shot of it though. Oh and i found a 5th zoa on these group i got for 35$ its closed up partially but its openeing slowely.. this is the best pic i could get. Orange tentacles and bright lime green center. im thinking MAYBE gatoraid zoanthid. But it has no orange center

Also in video you may think the zoas are sick.. but not the white zombie or whatever it is now as you see was healthy..and it happens randomly. the orange zoas are thr ones they ate. They grew fast entire plug was covered then one night all eaten

Youre right looked up the electric oompa loompa. Looks very very similar. Hopefully it opens up more as time goes by and starts making new heads.

Cant believe i got 5 types of zoas for 35$

Yep, you made out like a bandit

Will say since i have like 6+ heads of the nirvana ones.. Im thinking of carefully cutting that large one off away from the oompa loompa so it can open up. That huge head on the nirvana is jist in its way.

Been having to do surgury on this frag 3 or 4 times now to seperate these zoas lol.

Crazy Ive never seen that before. Mandarin will find them no matter what lol. I got two spotted mandarins as they eat pods and red planaria :)

Im looking at these salted agaves you mentioned.. mine dont look like those. On google mine look exactly like the corn bread and others selling white sombies.. The agaves have a different look to them.

Trying to snap a pic of blues. But theyre slow to open after i turned my main t5 lights off

Good plan. Nirvanas are borderline weeds anyway.

This is the best pic i can get for now.. Been standing here for 15 min.. ******* wont open fully.

I dunno what the heck it is man lol.. They look too similar. All i know is the zoa guy in store said theyre white zombies.

Im going to the store today ill snap pics of the ones they have there if i can

Lol

Are they weeds like the pink/golden palys ? I bought those and was told they were weeds so i moved em to a seperate smaller rock the size of your hand and months later they covered it.

Dont want the nirvanas to do that. Not on my zoa garden rock.

no worries man. Honestly as long as you enjoy the coral colors thats all that really matters. These zoa Id are extremely hard especially as some are super close to others and seeing them in person and or asking the person who fragged them is the best way to get a positive i.d.
