What zoas is this and how will it spread ?

Hi.
Here is a picture of a piece of zoas (about 1 in sq.) that i like. It's been given to me as it was almost dead. I dipped it and now it looks nice and healthy. How can i get it to spread ? i dont want to frag it. i'd just like it to colonize the rock.

Also. what type do you think it is ? each head is about 1/4 of an inch max.
Anyone ?

There's too many species to nail down scientific name, but their hype name is radioactive dragon eye. They should spread and form a mat fairly quickly.

Dragon Eye Zoanthids. Very good for beginners. Give them light and flow, and they'll multiply like crazy. Glue the base down someplace solid (so it can't drop, blow away, get moved by crabs, etc.), and enjoy watching them spread.

Looks like Dragon eye And they don't spread extremely fast but with proper light flow and feeding they will grow new polyps

They got a really nice green. Makes them really pop. I have a colony and they grow fairly quick for me.

As you see, they probably have many names, like a lot of zoas. I have always heard them called Radioactive Dragon Eyes.
But yes, they are good for multiple tank set ups. Grow fairly quickly. And can make an attractive addition to your collection. I have a couple little sections of them on my zoa rock.
