Whatcha think about me possibly dosing a gallon of freshly made saltwater DAILY to recharge major, minor elements.
Heres my thought process...
I have a 180g DT which is probably more like 100g of water volume.
If I turned off the Return pump but kept Circulating powerheads flowing.... I could premix 1g of salt mix and pour it in the DT with the Return turned off for a couple of hours.
I'm assuming this 2hr of circulation of new saltwater major minor elements would be absorbed quickly by my corals. I of course would monitor any jumps in SG and balance that out once the Return come back on via my 100g sump by pumping some fresh RODI water into the system.
Good dosing practice? Maybe, maybe not.
