Looks like I have a bit of cyano on this coral, but I don't know if that is what is causing the decay from top down. But my question is: What do I do to fix this? What is my best course of action/treatment?

Thanks in advance!

Zombies?!?! JK, It looks like you've got a burrowing pest from the holes. Gall crabs?

it could be alkalinity or calcium swings as well. have u been testing continuously

Thanks. My alk had come in low the last two times I've tested (low-to-mid 8's dKH), and I've dosed and increased the daily dosing each time. For what it's worth, here is another brain just below the original one, sitting on the sand bed . . .

The favites up top looks more like a parasite is inside the coral. The lobo, I think has tissue recession which could be due to infection. At least I believe that's a lobophyllia.

Thanks Elemental - how would you suggest to deal with either/both - a parasite and/or infection?
