Well my heater took a crap on my 180,so im looking to buy a brand new one, that being said what is ur take on heaters that you use on your setup and why,,,,,Go...

I really like the jager heaters. They are big but seem to work great. I have never tried those expensive one. Definitely watch the cobalt I believe as they were bursting and contaminating tank.

Eheim Jager. I've only owned the one since it's my first tank, but the original heater is still rockin' 3 years later.

I don't remember the last brand I bought but I prefer the titanium ones. I always always use with a separate temp controller.

Ehiem Jager;)

I've used several Finnex titanium heaters I bought around 9 years ago since then in my tanks. They are starting to crap out on me and I need to get a couple of new ones. Bought a new Finnex and they aren't even close to the same anymore. The thing I like about the titanium heaters is they won't crack if you accidentally don't turn them off when draining the sump, making a water change and if you drop them no worries. I have an Eheim I got with the new tank buy and I guess I'll try that out. Have any of you had problems with the Eheims breaking or cracking? I love Eheim stuff and it looks like the glass is quite a bit thicker.

You will find bad ones with every brand. The latest titanium heaters from Reef Octopus have been a big disappointment and I have had to send some Eheims back as well. The Jagers are one of your more solid choices though.
