Almost a year.Kind of looks like Dino or a Cyano bloom.
How old is the tank?
Do think its dino too. I dont see any bubbles yet tho.gently blow them off with a turkey baster. Looks like a Light case of Dino. With baster, they should clean up
Turkey baste them 2-3 times a week. Still not really better or worse.gently blow them off with a turkey baster. Looks like a Light case of Dino. With baster, they should clean up
Ok- Here is the plan to get rid of this AND IT DOES WORK:Turkey baste them 2-3 times a week. Still not really better or worse.
Ive tried the whole reducing the lights thing. Dosing peroxide scares me. What product should I use?Ok- Here is the plan to get rid of this AND IT DOES WORK:
Starting tonight. . . . Turn off whites and run your blues at 5%. If you dont have a lot of coral, just go black (all lights off ) for 4 -5 days. Room lights ok. Dose 1ml of peroxide per 10 gals each night. During the days using same dosage. . dose bacteria supplement such as bacter 7. Blow off the loose dino and either net it or let it run into filter. Clean filter pad(s) each day. Do not feed any coral food or NoPox additives as they are food for the dinos.
DAY 4-5 YOU WILL COME TO REALIZE. . . IT IS GONE !!!
Regular store peroxide at 3%. I still add .5 ml per 10 gal every other day in my main tank which once had this. Pics are proof that peroxide is safeIve tried the whole reducing the lights thing. Dosing peroxide scares me. What product should I use?
