Is my chocolate star trying to eat my urchin or are they in love?

Dinner.
Also, that's one big Aiptasia.
I know. I've neglected those things far too long. I don't have any coral but I was finally told they are bad news. Actually got Aptasia-X today

Chocolate chip stars are carnivores, so yep urchin is dinner.
Thanks. What other invertebrates will they eat? Also, I'm kinda glad. The urchin was cool but I tried my first coral a few months ago and he ate them. I saw it myself. My store couldn't believe it. So I'm glad he's gone. I really want to try the coral thing

The chocolate chip starfish will eat coral as well.

Be nicer if you could find the unwanted urchin a home. I give away fish that turn out to be mistakes. Gotta try and be mindful of the creatures we dump in there.
That was my plan but it looks like I'm a little late

When you want to buy something at your LFS just quickly tell them what is in your tank and they should advise you if your newly possible purchase would be a menace on your tank or just a expensive dinner.

I did and they knew

Chocolates latch onto anything they can
