Did a little rock movement lately, and started running gfo for the first time. Now this guy just all of a sudden has been closed up for 3 days now. He opened once in the morning then closed again, any bubble tip anemone experts with an opinion?

What’s ur parameters ?
Did you move the nem when you changed the rock work ?

When I took out my Tunze closest to my RBTA for service, they shrank to nothing. They came back to life once I got the pump up and running again. I think BTA likes peripheral flow.

What's weird is I left him in the same area just exposed him to more light

Nem was repositioned to put him more in the light, but left him in the same area, I just watched him come out a little then go right back in. Not sure if he's just acclimating to more light or what. Parameters are all in check

Sounds like hes not liking the increased light...
What are your phosphates and nitrates at?

Wouldn't he normally move? I just recently started GFO and my phosphates we're about 0.06 now they're 0, not sure if I brought it down to fast or if maybe that's what's upsetiups it. Nitrates are 2ppm

Sometimes but sometimes a coral or anemone will shrink up so they are collecting less light and slowly open up or expand as they adapt to it.
Sometimes they will also expel some of their zooxanthellae in the higher light.

But if he wanted more light he would have moved to it so he was probably happy where he was.

How long has he been like this? when did you move rocks? Mine would ball up for a while then eventually come back like nothing ever happened and would last maybe 2 days. He would eventually move if it is the light was not right but they wouldn't necessarily move right away It could take a couple days. All mine also liked to have their foot in shade but sprawl out into light but yours looks like right on top of rock. I also wonder if the new gfo dust may have ticked him off but again should adjust. basically i am saying if it hasn't been that long give him more time

He will most likely adjust to the extra light eventually. But be careful stripping phos. too quickly and too low.
