What's going on with my Favia?

Hi, I have this Favia for a long time now. It startet to grow a little bubble maybe 4 months ago. The growing has increasead within the last weeks and the bubble is now almost as large as a chicken egg. Will it build a skeleton? Should I let it grow?

Several other hobbyists have had this happen. Some just pop, some completely bail and frag themselves.

This Favia is crazy. I cut the bubble off and fragged it. Now it's starting to grow 2 new ones...
