Whats going on with my finger leather?

It started closing up a week ago and had a slime/film on it. I was told to use a turkey baster to help it shed its skin. When i did that it seemed to have broken off some pieces and now the internal skeleton is showing - whats going on with my coral?

Testing parameters:

• 0.0 ammonia
• 0.0 nitrites
• 0.1 nitrates
• 8.0 dkh
• 420 calcium
• 0.15 phos
• 1350 mag
• 1.025 salinity

Moderate light and water flow..... temp range if 76-79 and salinity 1.024-1.026

i have a hunch you have high salinity and getting a false reading

I recalibrated my tester and it still shows 1.025 :/
