What's going on with this acro?

I think it's best to only change one thing at a time with acros. So if you take your gfo offline, don't lower your lighting at the same time and vice versa.

1. It's too much stress on the coral.
2. You won't know what it was that caused the stn/rtn if you change multiple things at once.
 
That kind of tissue loss is very indicative of lowering po4 too fast. While lowering po4 does not have to be an issue, dropping .16 in a few weeks is a bad idea.

I would not sweat that arsenic level - it is probably no issue. If you don't like it, then find some IO or another high quality salt.
 
Thanks everyone, GFO reactor is offline. Hopefully it's not too far gone. There is still color on the shaded side, that's what lead to to believe light issues in the first place. Only time will tell
 
Coral has to repair less tissue damage on the dark side. Light makes energy, but it comes at a cost... like all things in life, right?
