Should I leave it or turn my sump light out and let it die off? I just don't want my chateo to die

It's ok to have, being that it's in your refugium, but you might want to get into the habit of siphoning out what you can during each water change.
Definitely don't turn your lights off though.

It is starting to go every where in there nothing in display tank. What if I just back the light it's on 24 7 as of now with great growth in chateo. But the cyno is starting to get on the chateo

You could just put the ball of Chaeto in a bucket of saltwater and then scrub the refugium clean. Discard the dirty water and then fill it back up again. The stuff on the Chaeto should be fairly easy to remove with a brush or something.
