What's growing on my Clove Polyps?

Hi all!

I'm a new reefer and just set up my first tank 2 months ago. I bought my first batch of corals 3 weeks ago, and everything has been going well for the most part, (apart from my hammer getting munched on ) but I have recently started seeing something interesting growing with the Clove Polyps and I have no idea what it is. Does anyone have any ideas? The growth in question is the long strand in the middle. It looks to be clear in color.

Looks like one of the clove polyps growing out. Give it a day or 2 and it should open up like the other cloves.

Would one polyp be able to grow that much longe than the rest of the polyps? Another thing that is confusing me is the fact that it's clear, like the gel used to attach coral to rocks.

Anyway, thank you for the help! I'll Def give it a few days and see how it goes.

I have many cloves and see these things all the time. Good sign that the cloves are growing!
