I noticed this yellowish stuff growing on my Duncan! At first I thought it might be food, but it's not! Anybody know what this is and what I can do about it?

I just tried blowing it off and it wouldn't come off! Should I give it a dip or something? I would like to figure out what it is so I can do some research and figure out why/how it got there and what to do about it

Right on.... Thank you nanareefer! Would you happen to know what caused it to be there? Is it harmful to the coral?

I've had this very same problem the last few weeks. Keep me updated as to what u did and the outcome please. And I'll do the same. Mine seems to keep reoccouring the day after feeding.

Will do weaver! Right low I'm going to try to gently rub it off and possibly do a dip! I'll let you know how it goes

Hey weaver, it's been a few days now and so far I haven't had the "sponge" return. I took a turkey Baster and tried gently blowing it off. Some do it did come off but not all. I then pick it up from the stem and very gently rubbed it off. Afterward I did a coral dip on it and returned it back to where I had it. Like I said in the few short days it's been it has yet to return. I hope this helps you out and you have the same luck Ive had so far
