What's growing on my torch coral?

It's a red color hair looking algae. It has made my torch recess badly. Any ideas what it could be?

Pics aren't too clear but I'd venture a guess macro algae, red ogo perhaps

Pluck a bit off and look under normal light. It will probably be green. Looks like hair algae to me.

I believe you are right. It is definitely more of a green color under white light
