What's growing on my zoas?!

Hey everyone, I just noticed a few days ago, these small fuzzy looking things on one mixed zoa colony. They are firmly attached and seem to have a small brown/red/black point of attachment, and the fuzzy/feather like growth.

The unknown is unresponsive to flow, food, lighting, or physical stimuli.

If it is a type of sponge, will the zoas and sponge(s) coexist?

If it's sponge I would try to remove it off the polyps. Sponge can grow over corals and it will kill them.
