Whats growing on my Zoas???

Hey all,

Can anyone help identify what this white stringy stuff is that I have growing on the base of my Zoa's? It took over 2 small polyps already.

White in color, Hmm.....just a guess, i was thinking about 3/4 down here? maybe https://aquariumbreeder.com/how-to-care-for-zoanthids-corals/ anyone else have any ideas?

I googled sponges and it’s definitely that. Anyone know the best way to get rid of them so o doesn’t overtake my zoas?

just scrape them off

I had a sponge like that almost kill a zoa colony because I ignored it. Scrapped it off and all is well now.
