What's growing on snails she'll?

I have had snails in the tank for about 1 month. No other snails having this issue that I can tell.

Those look like digitate hydroids.

I would reccomend getting rid of that snail.

Interesting how one snail out of all I can see had that. Will be scouring tank now looking for others.

Yea that's wild. I wonder where that guy was hanging out?
And don't sweat the word hydroid too much. It freak people out I know.

I've had several types of hydroids and many, if not most , just disappeared after a while.

I'd still toss that snail in the garden though.
