What's happen to my Mandarin!!

I noticed my mandarin acting weird and very inactive I noticed a weird spot so I netted him and found a bad injury, I suspect is may have gotten stuck some where or a rock feel on him, but I can't really see if a rock is out of place. What do u all think? I placed him back in the tank what should I do?

Ouch!!!
I'm not sure there's anything you CAN do. Maybe QT with antibiotics to keep it from getting infected...but I think your fish is gonna die. :'(

Yes. does not look good. What other fish do you have in with it, almost looks like a Trigger bite or something??? I would definitely QT him and run some anti-biotics to keep from getting infected. Best of luck here.

I just got a yellow tang but we haven't seen him aggressive at all.

Well woke up this morning and the Mandarine was dead

I'm thinking it had to be the yellow tang. He's a nice size as well. I was thinking he may have gotten stuck maybe that what I was hoping I didn't want to think my yellow did the dirty work.

My other fish seem to be in harmony with the yellow but I'm scared he will struck again. Should I just get ride of my yellow?

He may have simply frightened the mandarin enough to make it dive into the rock too hard and at a bad angle. I wouldn't write the guy off as a bad deal just yet.

I'm sorry to hear your mandarin didn't make it. It really tore me up when mine died.

my friend has a real head scratcher with his mandarin, the tail seems to be really torn, but it swims around happy and neither of us has ever seen any other fish attack it!

The mandarin was so awesome to have and I had him for a while. I hate to blame the yellow tang. And maybe ur right about it getting frightened. The yellow tang also took over a cave and I'm sure the mandarin doing what he does went into his cave.

Right now I have two beautiful clown hosted to green bubble tip, I have a hippo tang,9 chromis, and they all seem to get along with the yellow. I would really be devastated if something was to happen to my clowns and my hippo.
