So I have a young tank, 125 gallon, 1.025, Ammonia 0, Nitrites O, Ammonia 0. I have a bubbletip who has been in 2 weeks. For the first few days I was hitting him with mysis and brine shrimp until I got some silversides for him the other night. I fed him a quarter of a silverside last night, went to bed and found him looking like this this morning. Is he splitting?

Ok so. Ow it appears that while new bubble sack thing isn't even attatched to him.
Oh I see. Is this a sign sickness from this?

I would not feed silversides to anemones. They will eat them, but, they cannot process that much food and the food will start to rot inside of them, causing them to get sick and probably die. Just let the nem deal with it, don't feed it anything until it looks better, and even then, if you broadcast feed your fish, the nem will get plenty of food from the water column.
Thank you. I will do so. In terms of this shed bubble sac, what could that mean for the health of this guy. The rest of him looks great. He looks very healty, his tentacles are all inflated...
Anemones are weird weird creatures, they change shape, inflate and deflate. Anemones are also simple animals with a simple slow gut. If fed too often or too large of pieces the food sits in the gut and bacteria can begin to set in. Photosynthetic anemones in the wild are not eating fish or inverts very often, photosynthesis is the primary means of nutrition. Most modern reef fixtures provide sufficient light to meet a BTA needs. Some larger anemone types such as Haddoni do appreciate a feeding a couple times a month but BTA with appropriate lighting do not require routine feedings.
